About Me:
In 1984, while pregnant with with her first child, Caron began a yoga practice at home. She will never forget how the gentle postures combined with the breathing exercises created spaciousness in her changing body. 20 years later Caron found yoga again toward the end of her child bearing years when she became a single mother, post divorce. During this transitional time in her life, attending yoga classes became her safe haven for peace, balance and healing. Her practice began to open her heart, transforming her life She learned that yoga will meet you right where you are. By listening inwardly, quieting the mind, we begin a process of honoring what our bodies truly need.
She has recently completed her RYT 200 after a year long training at Greenville Yoga where she studied breath-inspired movement with Elizabeth Delaney, who received her training from Max Strom and Sara Powers.
Caron's children are now grown adults and she is happily remarried and lives in Upstate, SC, where she and her husband are active in their church and community. She has been a volunteer teacher of Hatha Yoga at Helping Hands Emergency Children's Shelter for two years. Caron is a former interior and textile designer who still loves to create beauty in her immediate environment whether in her garden or in her sewing studio.
It is Caron's deepest desire to inspire her students to connect their breath to the higher self through gentle movement and hopefully this practice will become a part of their lives. You can expect Caron's classes to be easy-going and light-hearted; a space where you can receive love, care and personal attention in an environment promoting a comfortable practice at your own pace.
“Actually, the transformation that yoga brings makes you more yourself, and opens you up to loving with greater depth. It involves honing and refining which releases your true essence, as a sculptor brings out the beauty of form in the stone by slowly and carefully chipping away the rest”
